Site Tester. Because Andrew Needed a Website Testing Tool

Terms of Service

Effective October 28, 2026. Last updated October 28, 2026.

1. These terms protect Site Tester

Site Tester (“Site Tester,” “we,” “us”) offers a private website-audit tool at sitetester.app and related pages (the “Service”). These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and Site Tester. They are written to limit our risk. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is a private tool. There is no public sign-up. Only the authorized Google account for offgriddev@gmail.com may sign in or run an audit. Everyone else may view the public pages of this site and nothing more.

2. Not advice, and not a promise about any website

Audits are automated. Scores, findings, screenshots, headers, samples, and PageSpeed or Lighthouse figures are estimates produced by software. They are not legal advice, security advice, accessibility certification, SEO consulting, a ranking prediction, or a statement that a site is safe, compliant, fast, or complete.

We do not guarantee that an audit is accurate, current, complete, or fit for any decision. We do not guarantee that Google, a browser, a search engine, a court, or a customer will agree with a score. You are solely responsible for what you do with a report. Do not rely on the Service as your only check of a website.

Some checks are samples. A passing result does not mean a site meets WCAG, privacy law, payment rules, or any other standard. A failing result does not mean a site is unlawful.

3. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a contract. You may not create an account, share the authorized account, or let anyone else run audits through your session. We may refuse, revoke, or ignore any sign-in that is not the authorized account, without notice and without creating an account for that person.

You will not probe, scan, or attack the Service; attempt to read or extract the PageSpeed API key or any other secret; bypass access controls; overload the Service; scrape it; resell it; or use it to build a competing dataset. You will not misrepresent your identity or your right to test a URL.

4. URLs you submit

You may submit only a public URL that you have the legal right to request. You represent that fetching that URL, following a limited set of public links, reading robots.txt, and sending the URL to Google PageSpeed Insights does not violate law, a contract, or anyone else’s rights, and is not an attempt to access a non-public system.

You will not submit URLs in order to harass, defame, stalk, or disrupt a person or service, and you will not use the Service against systems you are not allowed to test. We may skip, throttle, cache, or refuse any URL, and we may stop an audit that looks abusive, private, or unsafe. We do not have to explain a refusal.

We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, the websites you audit. Their content, uptime, security, and legality are theirs, not ours.

5. The Service is provided as is

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITE TESTER DISCLAIMS EVERY WARRANTY, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL CODE.

We may change, suspend, or shut down the Service, or any score, category, or feature, at any time, with or without notice. We do not promise a particular uptime, quota, or response from Google or any other third party.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITE TESTER AND ITS OPERATOR, AND ANY PERSON WHO HELPS RUN THE SERVICE, WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, RANKINGS, CUSTOMERS, OR BUSINESS, WHETHER OR NOT WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY, AND WHETHER THE CLAIM IS IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). THE SERVICE IS OFFERED WITHOUT A SUBSCRIPTION FEE. YOU AGREE THIS ALLOCATION OF RISK IS A BASIS OF THE BARGAIN.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those places, the disclaimers and limits apply to the fullest extent the law allows, and no further.

7. You will cover claims that come from your use

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Site Tester and its operator from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, liability, cost, and expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: a URL or other material you submit; your use or misuse of the Service or a report; your breach of these Terms; your violation of law or of a third party’s rights; or a dispute between you and the operator of a site you audited. We may take exclusive control of the defense, and you will cooperate. You will not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by us or imposes an obligation on us without our written consent.

8. Third parties

Sign-in uses Google. Performance data may be requested from Google PageSpeed Insights. Hosting, storage, and networking are provided by third parties. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for them, for their outages, for their quotas, or for what they do with a URL or account identifier they receive because you used the Service.

Links and findings may point at third-party sites. We do not endorse them and we are not responsible for them.

9. Our property

The Service, including its name, logo, text, layout, scoring method, and software, belongs to Site Tester or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the Service as these Terms allow. You do not receive any other right. You may not copy the Service, use the logo without permission, or remove proprietary notices.

You keep whatever rights you already have in a URL you submit. You grant us a limited license to fetch, cache, parse, and send that public URL to processors such as Google solely to produce and display an audit. Reports saved in your browser stay on that device until you delete them.

10. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of Site Tester has their principal residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the state or national courts located in that jurisdiction are the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to a jury trial and any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action.

Before filing a claim, you will email offgriddev@gmail.com and allow 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally. A failure to do that does not expand our liability.

11. Other terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. The “last updated” date will change. Continued use after the new date means you accept the update. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them, including to a successor that runs the Service. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement about the Service and replace earlier discussions about the same subject. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, or fiduciary duty. There are no third-party beneficiaries.
